Why fear keeps you quiet — and how to find your voice again.
Freedom Within is my second book. It's for the woman who has been the strong one so long she has nothing to say for herself: why fear takes your voice, where it was learned, and the ten things the research agrees on that bring it back.

Where it starts.
I was sitting in my car with my things packed on the back seat, being sworn at through the window, and I could not find one word. I've stood at the side of a road at night with a patient's life in my hands and known exactly what to do. In that car I couldn't say "don't speak to me like that."
For most of my life I thought that was who I was. Easy-going. Kind. Strong. Keeping the peace. It was fear — and fear has three ways of keeping a woman quiet. She takes charge instead of saying she's scared. She rushes to fix everyone instead of saying what she needs. Or she goes still. Most of us do all three, in the same week, and call it personality.
This book is about all three, where they came from, and the way back — not one coach's opinion, but the ten things the research agrees on, ranked by how strong the proof is, with every study named so you can read it yourself. A lot of my own story is in it. So is a twenty-one-day path, written day by day, with pen and paper.
What the book gives you
Why you're quiet
The fear state, the three shapes fear takes, and why you are all of them — at work, at home, with your children, and inside your own head.
Where it came from
The childhood science, the nervous system that remembers, why we go back, and why women especially — with the studies behind each.
The way back to your voice
Ten steps the evidence agrees on, one chapter each: what the proof says, what I did, where it goes wrong, seven days of practice, and the questions women actually ask.

One story, three layers
The Gold Beneath Her Skin
My first book — the story of how I found my way back, from the girl on the chicken pen to the woman who wrote this. The Be layer, lived.
The books that come next
I write in the order I had to learn it: the inner work, then a business that runs without you, then the systems that make sure it does. The Build and Automate books are on their way.
